Accommodation description from the host:
Quiet, bright room (18 sqm) for 1-2 persons in a renovated 2-room apartment in the old town of Kelsterbach. Only one S-Bahn station away from Frankfurt Airport. New equipment: double bed, wardrobe, comfortable sofa, workstation with fast Wi-Fi, carpeted floor. Shared use of bathroom and kitchen. Bed linen, towels, toiletries included. Guests share the apartment only with the host.

The apartment is located on the 1st floor in an apartment house typical of the area. It is located in a little-trafficed road not far from fields, woods and the River Main. Despite the proximity to the airport, it is also surprisingly quiet during the day. The entire apartment including the room was completely renovated and newly equipped in 2019. The double bed in the private room is 140 x 200 cm and has a brand new bodyguard foam mattress.

Guests have the private room all to themselves. The room door can be locked (normal room door lock). Inside the apartment guests can share the bathroom. It is equipped with a bathtub in which you can also take a shower. The bathroom is lockable (rotary lock). The kitchen can also be used, for example for eating. In the basement there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer for free use.

tip 1: Take bus 73 directly from the old town to the airport (and vice versa).
tip 2: Some airlines offer an evening check-in. Leave the suitcases the day before and only bring the hand luggage to the accommodation.
tip 3: If you arrive by car: Drive to the car park after the overnight stay and then continue with the car park shuttle to the airport.

Access to transport:
Kelsterbach station: S-Bahn lines S8/S9 to the airport (only one stop, three minutes journey time), to Frankfurt Central Station (approx. 17 minutes), Frankfurt Hauptwache (approx. 22 minutes) or to Rüsselsheim / Mainz / Wiesbaden. S-Bahn trains run around the clock every day: from early morning to late evening every 15 minutes and at night every 30 minutes. Walk from the room to the railway station Kelsterbach: approx. 15 minutes.

Tip: To the airport by bus! Bus line 73, heading for Terminal 1, runs directly from the Old Town to the airport (approx. 19 minutes, daily from 3:41 - 22:41 hrs, every 60 minutes). The Kelsterbach-Schloßweg bus stop is only five minutes from the room. This bus also stops at Kelsterbacher Bahnhof, in the Taubengrund industrial park and at various stations at the airport, such as the Lufthansa Aviation Center. With a little planning, travelers get to the airport quickly and comfortably.

Parking on the street in front of the house: Mon - Fri from 8:00 to 16:00 six hours free with parking disk - free parking outside these times. Applies to the whole city! Parking for a few days or longer in one of the many guarded car parks and car parks in Kelsterbach and surroundings. Tip: After the night drive to the car park and continue with the car park shuttle to the airport.

From Frankfurt Airport to the apartment in Kelsterbach:
• by taxi (10 minutes, approx. 20 euros) or Uber service
• by S-Bahn: From Flughafen-Regionalbahnhof take line S8 or S9 (direction Wiesbaden) to Kelsterbach Bahnhof (departures day and night, every 15 minutes, after midnight every 30 minutes, one stop, three minutes journey time). From Kelsterbach-Bahnhof continue on foot (about 15 minutes), by bus (lines 73 or 74, direction Kelsterbach-Friedhof, to Kelsterbach-Schloßweg) or by taxi.
• by bus (tip!): From Airport Terminal 1 take the line 73 quickly & conveniently directly to Kelsterbach's old town. Departure from the bus station, platform 22, directly opposite the arrival, direction Kelsterbach-Friedhof, until stop Kelsterbach-Schloßweg. Daily from 5:04 am - 0:04 am, every 60 minutes, 19 minutes travel time. Then 5 min. Walkway to the apartment.

From Frankfurt Central Station to the apartment in Kelsterbach
• by taxi (not recommended, as very expensive) or Uber service
• by S-Bahn: From Tiefbahnhof take line S8 or S9 (direction Wiesbaden) to Kelsterbach Bahnhof (approx. 17 minutes). From Kelsterbach-Bahnhof continue on foot (15 minutes), by bus (line 73 / line 74, direction Kelsterbach Friedhof, to Kelsterbach-Schloßweg) or by taxi to the apartment.
Note: The walk from Kelsterbach-Bahnhof to the apartment is safe and the old town is a safe area. If you do not want to walk through the small forest to the Feldstraße, go instead via Mainstraße -> Marktstraße -> Untergasse. Timetable information with all details: rmv.de

The location:
Kelsterbach is a city in the southwest of Frankfurt and is located in the immediate vicinity of the airport. The room is located in Kelsterbach's old town and is just a few steps from the forest and the River Main. Despite the proximity to the airport it is quiet, as the planes have already landed. The transport links to the airport, to Frankfurt and to Mainz/Wiesbaden are excellent: the S-Bahnen run every 15 minutes from early morning to late evening and every half hour at night. In addition, bus 73 runs every hour from the Old Town directly to Terminal 1 (via the Taubengrund industrial park and the Lufthansa Aviation Center).

A few minutes walk from the apartment there is a small grocery store with fruits and vegetables, the Deniz Market. Very good shopping facilities are located in the "Neues Stadtmitte" near the train station: Tegut supermarket, pharmacy, savings bank, a dry cleaning, the post office and stationery. In the area around the station you will also find many restaurants, kebabs, pizzerias, and (super!) ice cream parlours. Further shopping opportunities offers the specialist market center at the exit of Raunheim: Rewe, Aldi, dm - there is also a gas station and a modern car wash. Charging stations for electric cars are distributed throughout the city.

Very nicely located on the Main and from the apartment in a few minutes is the "Grüne Baum", a popular Greek restaurant with excellent cuisine. If you just want a drink, grab a cool drink at the "Wasserhäuschen" drinking hall and enjoy it on the Mainufer-Promenade. The Kelsterbar is located right on the banks of the River Main and is - except in winter - a well-known meeting place for chilling out in the open air.
